Jannik Sinner: China Open is a special tournament

The world’s tennis number one Jannik Sinner (Italy) talks about the ATP 500 China Open tournament in Beijing.

“It’s great to be here. It’s a special tournament, I’m looking forward to it. Just like last year, there are a lot of good players in the group”, said Jannik Sinner at a press conference.

Jannik Sinner became the champion of the tournament in Beijing in 2023. In the final, the Italian defeated the Russian player Daniil Medvedev by 2-0 (7:6 (2), 7:6 (2)). This year Jannik Sinner won the Australian Open Championship and the US Open Championship.

The ATP tournament in Beijing will be held from September 26 to October 2.

The first opponent of the Italian tennis player is Nicolas Jarry (Chile). Nicolas Jarry leads 1-0 in the head-to-head against Jannik Sinner, beating him 7-6(4), 6-3 in the first round of the 2019 Libema Open.
