Carlos Alcaraz wants to play with Grigor Dimitrov in Laver Cup doubles

The former world’s number one and current number three in the men’s tennis Carlos Alcaraz announced that he wants to play with Grigor Dimitrov in Laver Cup doubles. The team tournament, which starts tomorrow in Berlin, is expected to become a real spectacle.

Francisco Cerundolo, Thanasi Kokkinakis, Taylor Fritz, Frances Tiafoe, Ben Shelton and Alejandro Tabilo will play for the World Team.

For the 33-year-old Grigor Dimitrov, this will be a return to the tournament after a 5-year break. He made his Laver Cup debut in 2018, when he played two matches. In singles, he defeated Frances Tiafoe by 2-0 (6:1, 6:4), and in doubles with David Goffin they were defeated by Nick Kyrgios and Jack Sock by 0-2 (3:6, 4:6).
