Stan Wawrinka (Switzerand) qualified for the semifinals of the ATP 250 Nordic Open in Stockholm. The Swiss veteran eliminated the top-seeded Andrey Rublev (Russia) after two tiebreaks and 2-0 (7:6(5), 7:6(5)) in about an hour and 55 minutes of play.

The opening set went without a single break. In the tiebreak, Stan Wawrinka led by 6-2 points and although the next three went to the Russian, the Swiss player closed at 7-5 and won the set.
