Grigor Dimitrov: I feel at home in Stockholm

Grigor Dimitrov (Bulgaria) shared that he was satisfied with his performance in the match against Quentin Halys (France) in the second round of the ATP 250 Nordic Open tennis tournament in Stockholm. The Bulgarian tennis player prevailed by 2-0 (7:6(1), 6:3) and qualified for the quarterfinals of the competition.

“Halys served great and I’m happy that I was able to win in two sets. Thank you for supporting me. I feel at home in Stockholm”, said Grigor Dimitrov in the on-court interview. “I have never faced my next opponent Dominic Stricker. I know he is physically fit and plays aggressive tennis. I will prepare in the best way because every match is difficult”, added her.

Asked about the secret of his good shape at the age of 33, Grigor Dimitrov answered: “A lot of things happen behind the scenes. I’ve put in a lot of work in the 16 years since I’ve been on tour. I have gained a lot of experience and it helps me”.

Grigor Dimitrov is the ATP 250 Nordic Open champion from 2013 and two time runner-up. In the quarter-finals of the tournament the third-seeded Bulgarian tennis player will face Dominic Stephan Stricker (Switzerland).
