The American tennis talent Coco Gauff, currently ranked sixth in the world, clinched the prestigious WTA 1000 China Open title in Beijing. In the final match, the fourth seed Gauff triumphed over Karolina Muchova (Czech Republic), winning decisively with a score of 2-0 (6:1, 6:3) in just 76 minutes.

In Beijing, she added her second WTA 1000 title to her collection, having previously won her first in Cincinnati last summer.
In doubles, the Italian duo of Sara Errani and Jasmine Paolini won the title, defeating Chan Hao-ching from Taiwan and Veronika Kudermetova from Russia with a score of 2-0 (6:4, 6:4).
