The top-seeded Emma Navarro (USA) started powerfully her participation at the WTA Challenger Hong Kong 125 Open tennis tournament. The American tennis player, who is world’s No 8, defeated Viktorija Golubic (Switzerland) by 2-0 (7:5, 6:4) in almost an hours and a half.
Emma Navarro started the match with confidence and broke for 3:1 to extend her lead to 4:1 and 5:2. She served for the set at 5:4, but Viktorija Golubic returned the break and equalized to 5:5. However, another break for Emma Navarro in 12th game closed the set at 7:5.
Viktorija Golubic made a fantastic start of the second set with two breaks and taking a lead of 4:1. Emma Navarro made a five-games winning streak to close the set at 6:4 and win the match.
