Carlos Alcaraz about Laver Cup: A unique and very special event

Spanish tennis player Carlos Alcaraz speaks before his start at the Laver Cup tournament, which starts tomorrow in Berlin. The world number 3 will participate tomorrow in doubles in tandem with the German Alexander Zverev against the Americans Taylor Fritz and Ben Shelton.

“It’s incredible. It’s a great joy for me to participate in the Laver Cup this year. It’s a unique and very special event, with a new format that’s very nice. The fact is that the court is fantastic. I’m trying to enjoy every moment of training and during matches with colleagues”, said Carlos Alcaraz. “I think we will appreciate this week because we are not used to talking to each other and watching each other’s games together. It will be extraordinary. I can’t wait for the games to start and see how they will develop”, added he.

Carlos Alcaraz Garfia has been ranked as high as World No. 1 in singles by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP). Alcaraz has won 15 ATP Tour-level singles titles, including four Grand Slam titles and five Masters 1000 titles.
