Karolina Muchova advanced to the semi-finals of the US Open

Karolina Muchova continues her impressive run at the US Open after advancing to the semi-finals with an emphatic win over Beatriz Haddad Maia (Brazil). The Czech tennis player won the match after 2-0 (6:1, 6:4), showing strength and resilience despite her medical problems during the match.

Karolina Muchova, who is world’s No 52, showed excellent form, breaking twice in the first set and closing out the match in 85 minutes. In the second set, despite stomach problems, she managed to stabilize and finish the match with a successful serve at 5:4.

This is the second consecutive US Open semifinal for Karolina Muchova, who returned to the court in June after a nine-month absence due to wrist surgery. In the semifinals, the Czech will face the sixth-seeded Jessica Pegula, who eliminated the world’s number one Iga Swiatek (Poland).
