Karolina Muchova defeated the qualifier Olivia Gadecki at the start of the WTA 500 Ningbo Open

Karolina Muchova (Czech Republic) defeated the qualifier Olivia Gadecki (Australia) at the start of the WTA 500 Ningbo Open. The Czech tennis player defeated her opponent by 2-0 (6:3, 7:5) in 1:46 hours of play.

In the other matches Yulia Putintseva (Kazakhstan) defeated Ella Seidel (Germany) by 2-0 (6:4, 6:4) and Yue Yuan (China) eliminated the qualifier Ajla Tomljanovic (Australia) by 2-0 (6:4, 6:2).
