Nick Kyrgios will return to play for the Australian Open

Nick Kyrgios will return to play for the Australian Open tennis championship in January, revealed the CEO of Tennis Australia, Craig Tiley. He is out of this year’s tournament and has just one singles match in the past two years nursing injuries to his knees, feet and wrists.

During his lengthy treatment, Nick Kyrgios has been appearing as a television analyst, but according to his latest posts on social media, he will be ready to play by the end of the calendar year.

“Nick will be back. I know he’s been training hard and getting ready. He loves playing in Australia and I look forward to seeing him back on the court. Nick is on schedule to play at the Australian Open in January as far as I know”, said Craig Tiley, promoting the tournament he has organized and overseen for almost two decades.

The best achievement in Melbourne for Nick Kyrgios, a former Wimbledon finalist, was reaching the last eight. However, he has only done so once since 2015.
